Unix Timestamp Converter

Translate epoch to a readable date and back without getting the unit wrong. The tool detects on its own whether your number is in seconds, milliseconds or microseconds, and shows the result in your local zone and UTC side by side.

How it works

Everything goes through the browser Date object, so the local zone is whatever your operating system says. Unit detection uses order of magnitude: ten digits means seconds, thirteen means milliseconds.

  • Automatic detection of seconds, milliseconds and microseconds
  • Simultaneous output in local time, UTC and ISO 8601
  • Date to timestamp, accepting ISO and RFC 2822 input
  • Live clock with the current epoch, ticking every second
